How It Works
The interlock installation is one step in the DMV's restricted-license process, alongside your SR-22 filing and reinstatement fee. The DMV's paperwork lists your required steps.
Your car needs to start, run, and shift into drive and reverse, with the battery connected.
Your DMV or court paperwork states your interlock term and deadline. Verify it before you book.
Call, text, or use the form above. Next-day appointments are available at the Camarillo center.
Installation takes 2 to 4 hours. Same-day pickup.
The installer issues the DMV's proof-of-installation form on site. You submit it to the DMV.

What a full program costs: a typical 5-month first-offense term comes to $495 in monthly fees. A 12-month term comes to $1,188. No install fee, no calibration fees. Removal is paid to the shop directly and varies by center.
A 56-day calibration cycle means fewer shop visits over your program. Income-qualified drivers may pay less under California's financial assistance program; we check your eligibility and handle the application when you enroll.
California Law
California Vehicle Code 23575 sets interlock terms after a DUI conviction. The DMV requires 5 months for a typical first offense, 12 months for a second, and 24 months for a third. Injury DUI cases run 12 to 48 months. Your court or DMV paperwork states your exact term.

The ALCOLOCK AL-2500 is built to avoid the overnight battery drain many interlocks are known for. Drive the car regularly, especially in cold weather or if your battery is older. If the battery dies, call us before a jump-start or a new battery. A battery that stays disconnected for more than 15 minutes means an early service visit.
